Car Widgets keeps its core vehicle, widget and parking information on your device. Online weather and lyric features may send limited information to their service providers when you choose to use them. No user profile, analytics or advertising server is operated by Car Widgets.

This Privacy Policy describes how Car Widgets handles information when you use the iOS app, its widgets, Live Activity extension and related features, and visit the product pages. It covers information stored on your device and information sent to a service when you choose a feature that needs it.

You do not create an account to use the current app. We do not receive your vehicle profiles, saved widgets, parking records, imported photos, or sound files on a Car Widgets server as part of normal use. Depending on the features you use, information kept locally may include vehicle make, model, year, nickname and appearance settings; widget layouts and preferences; selected sounds and sound-scene configurations (CarPlay connected, CarPlay disconnected, arriving home); parking location, time, address, notes and attached photos; lyrics appearance preferences (size, color); and a city or location setting for weather.

Local storage, widgets and Live Activities本地存储、小组件与实时活动
Vehicle details, app preferences, saved widget configurations, sound settings and parking records are stored using CoreData in app-managed storage on your device. The app, its WidgetKit extension and its Live Activity (ActivityKit) extension share only the minimum data needed to display widgets and the real-time lyrics banner through an iOS shared app group container (group.com.gosailnova.carplay). This container is not accessible by other third-party apps.

The Live Activity feature shows now-playing song title, artist, album artwork and synced lyrics on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. These details are read from the system music player or Apple Music on your device. Live Activity lyrics come from your local media library first; if not available, they may come from LRCLIB as described in Section 08. Live Activity data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our server.

When you use the iOS photo picker (PHPicker), the system grants access only to the specific photo or photos you select. The app does not request broad access to your entire photo library for this selection flow. Selected images are used for vehicle photos, widget backgrounds or parking record attachments and stored locally. We do not access or read photos you have not explicitly selected.

If you import a sound file through the iOS file picker (UIDocumentPicker), the app uses the selected file for the sound-scene feature (CarPlay connected, CarPlay disconnected, arriving home) and stores it locally on the device. The current import flow limits the selected audio clip to ten seconds and processes the file within the app only.

If you copy a parking location address or coordinates, the text is placed on the iOS device clipboard. Other apps on your device may access the clipboard content while it remains there. We do not control clipboard permissions of third-party apps.

Location, parking and weather定位、停车与天气
Weather can use your approximate current location (kCLLocationAccuracyKilometer) or a city you enter manually. The app uses Apple Core Location, Apple reverse geocoding (CLGeocoder) and Apple WeatherKit to resolve a city and retrieve a forecast. The location or city needed for the request is sent to the relevant Apple service. Weather forecasts, temperature, conditions and hourly data are retrieved from WeatherKit and cached locally for up to approximately one hour before refresh.

If you use the parking shortcut (App Intents) or parking feature, a record may contain GPS coordinates, horizontal accuracy (kCLLocationAccuracyNearestTenMeters), capture time, parked-at time, a reverse-geocoded address, country code, notes and photos you add. When automatic parking is enabled, the shortcut captures a location when you configure and run that shortcut; the app is not designed to continuously track a moving vehicle. Background location updates are enabled only when automatic parking is configured and the user has granted "Always Allow" location authorization.

If you open a saved location in Apple Maps or Google Maps, the selected map app receives the coordinates needed to show the location or route. We do not send location data to any third party unless you explicitly choose to open it in an external map app.

If you authorize "Media & Apple Music" access, Car Widgets can read the current playback information (title, artist, album, duration, artwork URL) needed for its music and lyrics features, and can use playback controls supported by iOS (play, pause, skip). It does not receive your Apple Account password, billing information, or purchase history.

The app first checks lyrics available through your device's local media (MPMediaItem). If no lyrics are found locally, an online lookup may be performed by sending the track title and artist to LRCLIB (https://lrclib.net/api/get). Album name and duration are also sent when available. The request User-Agent identifies the app, its version, and a developer contact URL. Lyrics may also appear in Live Activity and widget extensions after local or online retrieval.

Car Widgets integrates with Siri and Apple Shortcuts through App Intents. When you create a Siri shortcut for automatic parking or saved sounds, Apple's system handles the voice recognition and natural-language processing. Car Widgets does not receive or store Siri audio recordings, voice profiles or transcripts. The shortcut runs an action — such as capturing a parking location — using the permissions and automation settings you configure in iOS. The shortcut configuration is stored locally on your device.

Third-party services and data sharing第三方服务与数据共享
We do not sell personal information or use the current app version for cross-context behavioral advertising. The production build contains no third-party advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or device-fingerprinting library. Apple system frameworks (CoreLocation, WeatherKit, MusicKit, App Intents, ActivityKit, WidgetKit) and LRCLIB may still process information under their own terms when you choose features that use them.

We do not otherwise share locally stored app records with advertisers, data brokers or any other party.

WeatherKit data is provided by Apple and its data providers. Weather data may be further sourced from third-party data providers integrated into WeatherKit (e.g. The Weather Channel, MyRadar, AccuWeather). Weather forecasts and alerts are for general reference only; the accuracy and availability of third-party weather data are not guaranteed by us.

Retention and deletion保存期限与删除
Local app data remains on your device until you remove the relevant item, clear app data where iOS permits, or uninstall the app. CoreData records are stored in the application sandbox. Widget and Live Activity data is stored in the app's shared container and is automatically pruned by iOS mechanisms. Device or cloud backups (iCloud) may retain copies according to your backup settings and Apple's policies; these backups are encrypted by Apple's end-to-end encryption where enabled by you.

We do not control how long LRCLIB, Apple or another third-party service keeps information it receives. For example, Apple may retain weather requests internally for operational purposes, and LRCLIB may cache lyric lookup records. Their retention and deletion practices must be confirmed with each provider.

Security信息安全
Core records are stored using iOS CoreData in the application sandbox and shared-app-group mechanisms. The shared container is only accessible by the main app process and its bundled extensions (WidgetKit, ActivityKit). We take reasonable measures within the app's design to protect locally stored information: no network exfiltration of local data, no third-party SDKs, and no insecure storage APIs. However, no device, storage method or network transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

All network requests from the app use HTTPS with TLS encryption enforced by iOS App Transport Security (ATS). Requests to LRCLIB, Apple services (WeatherKit, CLGeocoder), and system-supported map apps all benefit from iOS's built-in security.

You can manage app permissions in iOS Settings (Location Services, Media & Apple Music access), choose not to use optional online features (weather, online lyrics), edit or delete information through available app controls (vehicle details, widget preferences, parking records), and stop using the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. No account is needed to make these changes.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to: request access to personal information we have about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of personal information; request restriction of processing; object to certain processing; receive a portable copy of your personal information; withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal); or complain to a supervisory authority. We may need enough details to understand and verify a request, and we will respond within the legally required timeframe (typically within one month under GDPR, with possible extension to three months).

Because core app records remain on your device, we generally cannot retrieve them from our systems (we do not operate a central data server).
