Acceptance and updates接受与更新
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Car Widgets, including its iOS app, widgets, Live Activity extension and related features. By installing, opening or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and uninstall it immediately.

We may update these Terms as the app or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be posted on the official product pages, and its "Last updated" date will show when it was revised. Car Widgets provides vehicle profiles, customizable WidgetKit widgets, saved sounds for CarPlay events (connected, disconnected, arriving home), parking records and App Intents shortcuts, WeatherKit weather information, Apple Music integration with song lookup and playback controls, LRCLIB online lyrics, and a Live Activity (ActivityKit) real-time lyrics banner for Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Features may vary by iOS version, device, region, permissions and third-party service availability.

The current app does not require a Car Widgets account. Core records are stored locally on your device as described in the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility and device requirements使用资格与设备要求
You may use the app only if you are legally able to accept these Terms under the laws that apply to you. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the app with a parent or legal guardian's involvement where required by law.

You are responsible for having a compatible Apple device (iPhone or iPad), the required iOS version (iOS 17 or later recommended for full Live Activity support), an active Apple Developer-signed app installation, a network connection for optional online features, and any required third-party app (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Apple Music). Apple's terms also apply to your use of Apple services, WidgetKit, ActivityKit, CarPlay, App Intents and Shortcuts.

Do not configure, view or operate the Car Widgets app while driving. This includes but is not limited to: adding or editing vehicle profiles, creating or modifying widgets, setting up sound scenes, saving or viewing parking records, viewing lyrics, browsing weather, configuring CarPlay shortcuts, or interacting with any app element while the vehicle is in motion.

Set up widgets, shortcuts, automations and preferences only while the vehicle is safely parked and stationary. If you use Car Widgets through CarPlay, you must ensure that your vehicle's CarPlay interface is legal to use in your jurisdiction and does not distract you from safe driving. You remain solely responsible for complying with all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and for operating your vehicle safely at all times. If you feel fatigue, distraction, or impairment of any kind, stop using the app immediately.

The parking location record, weather information, address lookups and other features provided by Car Widgets are approximate and are not a substitute for checking conditions, navigation or safety information directly. Always verify physical surroundings, on-road signage, and traffic conditions before relying on any app output.

Permissions and safe use权限与安全使用
Some features require access to photos (PHPicker), location (CLLocationManager — When In Use for weather, Always Allow for automatic parking shortcuts), Media & Apple Music access (MusicKit and MPMediaPlayer), and file access (UIDocumentPicker for sound imports). You can deny or revoke these permissions in iOS Settings; features that depend on them may stop working. Automatic parking shortcuts request "Always Allow" location permission because CarPlay may disconnect while the app is in the background.

Do not use Car Widgets features while engaged in other activities that require your attention, such as while walking, cycling, operating heavy machinery, or in any environment where distraction could cause harm.

Your use and restrictions使用规则与限制
You may use Car Widgets for your personal, lawful use. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, circumvent security controls, interfere with the app or its services, attempt to bypass the App Store sandbox, use the app to violate another person's rights, or use it for unlawful or unsafe activity, except where applicable law gives you a right that cannot be restricted by contract.

Do not use lyrics, images, sounds or other third-party material in a way that infringes copyright, privacy, publicity, trademark or other rights. Do not scrape, redistribute, republish or commercially exploit material obtained through the app unless you have the required permission.

Content you add你添加的内容
You retain your rights in photos, notes, sounds, lyrics appearance preferences and other content you select or create. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use that content within the app.

To operate the features you request, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, reproduce, process and display your content on your device, through the app's WidgetKit extensions, ActivityKit Live Activity extension, and shared app group container. This permission lasts only as needed to provide those features and does not give us ownership of your content.

The app's name (Car Widgets), logo, interface, design, code, text, bundled graphics, vehicle catalogs and other materials are owned by STARMAPLABS or their respective rights holders and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the app under these Terms, no ownership or other license is transferred to you.

Apple Music playback and metadata require the permissions set by Apple. Lyrics returned by LRCLIB may be protected by copyright or other rights. LRCLIB is independent of STARMAPLABS, and we do not claim ownership of lyrics supplied by it. The online lyrics feature is intended only for personal, non-commercial display within the app and associated Live Activity and widgets.

Weather data is provided by WeatherKit, which may source from Apple and third-party data providers (e.g. The Weather Channel). Weather forecasts, hourly data and condition descriptions are for general reference only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or availability of third-party weather data.

The app may rely on Apple Music, WeatherKit, Apple reverse geocoding, Apple Maps, Google Maps, iOS Shortcuts, App Intents, CarPlay and other third-party services. Their availability, content, privacy practices, terms, fees and support are controlled by their respective providers.

When you choose to open an external app or send information to a third-party service, that service's terms and privacy notice apply. Car Widgets is designed to work with Apple CarPlay where available; CarPlay itself is an Apple system feature, and your use of it is governed by Apple's agreements with you. We are not responsible for independent third-party services, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

The current version contains no Car Widgets in-app purchase or subscription flow. If we add paid features in the future, we will disclose their price and conditions before purchase through the App Store description and within the app.

Updates and availability更新与服务可用性
We may release app updates, maintenance, fixes or feature changes through the App Store. We may add, modify, suspend or discontinue a feature when needed for security, technical, legal, product or third-party reasons (e.g. LRCLIB service becoming unavailable or CarPlay OS updates changing integration behavior). Where required, material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel.

Car Widgets is not an emergency service, is not a navigation system replacement, and is not a substitute for safe driving or professional driving assistance. The parking location record may be inaccurate, delayed or unavailable. Weather forecasts and conditions may differ from actual conditions. You are responsible for checking a parking location, route, forecast or other information before relying on it. Nothing in these Terms excludes guarantees or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Car Widgets 不是紧急服务，不是导航系统的替代品，也不能替代安全驾驶或专业驾驶辅助。停车位置记录可能不准确、延迟或不可用。天气预报和天气状况可能与实际情况不同。依赖停车位置、路线、天气预报或其他信息前，你有责任自行核实。本协议不排除法律规定不得排除的保证或权利。
Limitation of liability责任限制
To the extent permitted by applicable law, STARMAPLABS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including but not limited to: data loss, service interruption, lost profits, missed turns, incorrect parking records, weather forecast errors, or third-party service failures (Apple, LRCLIB, map providers, Apple Music, etc.).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit or exclude, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, personal injury or mandatory statutory rights. If you paid a fee directly to us for the app, any permitted cap will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. Uninstalling will remove all locally stored data from your device. If you materially breach these Terms or applicable law, we may restrict or suspend access to affected features where reasonably necessary and lawful. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including intellectual property, disclaimers and liability limits, survive termination.
